We have seen the stupendous numbers of induced abortions on WHO: Abortion. But what about losses from: intrauterine devices (IUDs)*, abortifacient (abortion-causing) contraceptive chemicals*, and the highly wasteful assisted reproductive technology (ART), not to mention the unintended spontaneous abortions (miscarriages)?
If I had to take a wild guess … I think that the scale could be somewhere between five and ten times greater than induced abortions. Simply too many: one is too many. These are each a human soul. Most of this destruction is avoidable by the virtue of Chastity. We have to pray for poor sinners.
* Whose mechanism involves the little embryo failing to implant in the uterus; dying, and being passed out. This is not a ‘contraceptive’ at all—it is a misnomer—because a human being has already come into existence.
