Saint Faustina implores the Lord Jesus in her Diary* 1052 (extract), for priests: ‘protect them from the devil’s traps and snares which are continually being set for the souls of priests.’

Here is a lovely rhyming and printable poem-prayer to the benefit of priests: https://bvmary.com/stephenplustwik/A-Prayer-for-Priests_0c4.pdf.

By God’s Goodness, Love and Providence, we have more than 407,000 ordained priests^ in the Catholic Church. What a vast number of blessed Founts from which to draw the living Water! (Cf. Saint John 7:37–39 and see the stirring encounter of Jesus with the Samaritan woman, RSVCE.) Their priestly purpose is a treasure in the Church and for the world, especially in their mediation of the holy Sacraments and God’s Word. By holy Orders (that is, ordination) they are men set apart to belong only to God.

The words of priests are very potent and can change people~! Priests have been empowered with, and they contain, the Authority of Christ (see, for example, Saint Matthew 10:1, 16:19, 18:18 and 28:18–20, and Saint Luke 9:1–2 and 10:19, RSVCE). With this Authority, they have the backing to preach frequently against serious evils such as abortion, and to warn about the punishment that may be laid on the grave (that is, serious) sinner; that damnation is highly likely, without repentance (see Abortion as a Satanic Sacrifice, Folly of Persisting in Sin and More than One Life).

Priests can gather strength in banding together under their bishop to exorcise (that is, pray to cast out) the behemoth demon-spirit of abortion from their diocese (or geographical area of Church jurisdiction) and from the whole world.

‘It is the spirit that gives life, the flesh is of no avail; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.’ Saint John 6:63 (RSVCE).

‘Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few”‘ (Saint Matthew 9:37, RSVCE). ‘And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few”‘ (Saint Luke 10:2a, RSVCE). These verses may be applied to those who have been working in the harvest, as well as to those who are being called to work in the harvest.
